Keep an eye out on [our Discord server][discord] for an alpha release announcement. **Will Galacticraft 5 be on Forge?**\ Yes, Forge development will start *after* we have a survival-playable alpha build out for Fabric. **Will Galacticraft 5 work with Galacticraft 4 addons?**\ No, Galacticraft 5 is a complete rewrite, and does not have backwards compatibility with the old addon api. Pre-Alpha Builds > [!IMPORTANT] > Galacticraft 5 is still under development!\ > It is possible that saves will become corrupted and/or unloadable after updates.\ > It is strongly discouraged to use these builds for anything but testing.\ > No support will be provided regarding the use of these builds.
